If you're having any issues with the Twitter version being geolocked, here's the Instagram version (which is alas cropped square):
While we wait for the next season, some of the artists involved in the first season have shared some of their work online, in many cases giving us a much better look at some of the elements seen only partially or fleetingly in the final shots.
A couple of artists have shared images of the Pakled ships from the final episode of the first season, with background artist Kat Brechtel showing them off with particular gusto in a portfolio of art from the series on their website:
Fellow background and layout artist Antonio Caggiano also shared some images of one of those ships on their website, giving us a good all-round look at the design.
You can also find a load more behind the scenes artwork from the series in one of my previous reports, a lengthier season two trailer released a couple of months ago in another report, and more coverage of the series in general by looking back through articles my Lower Decks tag.
The current and future seasons of Lower Decks can be found on Paramount+(ad). In Canada look to Bell Media services, while in the rest of the world the series is found on Amazon Prime Video(ad). The first season is also available on bluray(ad).
At the risk of sounding very geeky... in the picture of the starbase the ship's docked don't look like Parliament Class vessels but a mashup of the Parliament Class and Centaur type ships. Perhaps they're a retcon of the design?
