Discovery 3x02 Far From Home previews, and other Disco updates

This week's second episode of Discovery season three is Far From Home (if there's a part two to last week's That Hope Is You, Part 1, it's not coming right away). As ever CBS have released a selection of images to preview the episode. There's also lots of bits about related to last week's episode, including more stills, behind the scenes photos, the new logs social media feature, cat pics, and more! Continue below to check it all out, along with confirmation season four is on the way!

Here's the blurb for the new episode:
After the U.S.S. Discovery crash-lands on a strange planet, the crew finds themselves racing against time to repair their ship. Meanwhile, Saru and Tilly embark on a perilous first-contact mission in hopes of finding Burnham.
There's not an episode specific trailer, but there's plenty to enjoy in the new season trailer (also up on StarTrek.com if you prefer):

The preview images for the episode fall into three groups. There's this bunch with Tilly and Saru making contact with the locals, focused on a character called Zareh (played by Jake Weber):

There's a couple of crew shots on the Discovery:

And Saru and Georgiou having a friendly chat:

There's also a clip from the episode in the first episode of The Ready Room for the season. Otherwise this episode also includes featurettes on the new future setting of the show, and new props, and an extended interview with David Ajala (aka Book) - You can also find this on StarTrek.com and YouTube if you prefer:

For further glimpses behind the scenes, CBS released a few photos from the location shoots:

As did showrunner Michelle Paradise, back last year:

Director Olatunde Osunsanmi also shared some views of the stunning Icelandic scenery:

And actor Jake Michaels has shared a look at his transformation into Ithor the Orion:

From more official channels, CBS has also released the second in their weekly Star Trek Logs Instagram posts, with Book noting his views on recent events from the episode (these could be fun little expansions of the episodes as the season unfolds):

There's also a couple of additional stills from the first episode, and some clips too:

Oh and CBS really love Grudge the cat, or she's an actual queen who commanded more photos:

Finally, here's an official announcement video, confirming season four is soon to go into production!

As with previous seasons, the series will be found on CBS All Access(ad) in the US, and Bell Media services in Canada, and Netflix in almost all of the rest of the world (barring a few countries where Netflix doesn't work).
