Not long ago Chronicle Collectables announced a new range of sculptures based on the Star Trek Cats series, but it turns out their not the only ones in the business for statuesque cats, as Bradford Exchange launched its own range back in March!
Like Chronicle, Bradford are mining TOS, with releases as part of their The Hamilton Collection range of collectable sculptures. Like many of Bradford's lines, the series comes as a subscription. So far four character have been revealed in the collection, called Space Cat Crusaders: Cat-tain Kirk, Mist-purr Spock, Lieutenant Uh-purr-a, and Doc-purr McCoy.
Here's a closer look at each of those characters, each is about 10cm tall (or long I guess in the case of some of them). Curiously the images of the Kirk figurine are rather inconsistent, so it's not clear if the final version is more cartoony style above, or more life-like version below (I would guess the above though, as it looks much more like an actual photo). The Kirk figurine only is also available to order separately, rather than in the subscription.
For a look at the previous Star Trek Cats releases, see my Trek Collective List.
... Wtf?
