Comics updates: New covers and art for Year Five, Q Conflict, and more

Lots of Star Trek comics updates and previews today, including some really nice new artwork. Continue below for all the latest from Year Five, The Q Conflict, DiscoveryWaypoint, and the Transformers crossover:

First up, Year Five cover artist J.J. Lendl has revealed his retail incentive covers for the first two issues in that new TOS series. Issue one is a retro one-sheet, and issue two a really cool travel poster for the probably inadvisable trip to the Tholian Assembly!

IDW also recently posted a blog about the writers room for this series, which among other things revealed the first issue of the series is titled Odyssey's End. It also previewed a lavish splash page from artist Stephen Thompson:

And they've also released an interview video with writer Jackson Lanzing:

Moving on to The Q Conflict, another retail incentive cover, for issue three of that series, has been revealed by artist George Caltsoudas. It features a gaggle of ships, information flight, representing the four series features in the crossover series:

The next issue preview in the back of last week's issue two of The Q Conflict also previewed another new cover, David Messina's A cover, which forms a diptych with the previously seen B cover, again featuring the four ships of the featured series.

Last week's issue also had a feature on the forthcoming Captain Saru annual, including a preview of a rather nice splash page from that book, by Angel Hernandez:

Malachi Ward has previewed some more of his interior art for the Voyager prequel story, featuring the Constellation class USS Billings, that he is working on for the next Waypoint anthology (see previous reports for a couple more sneak peaks at that book).

The Star Trek vs Transformers crossover comic came to a conclusion with last week's final issue, and artist Phil Murphy has shared a little more of his art from that series. Here are a few inked pages, pre-colouring:

But perhaps more fun, here are his concepts for the "crewbots" featured in that final issue! (The toys are on the way right Hasbro?):
