First up, CBS have released several new stills from New Eden, featuring the Discovery landing party in a church(-like?) setting, and a bunch of bridge shots (I miss Pike's TOS-esque uniform already!):
CBS have also released a little video to celebrate Jonathan Frakes taking the directors chair for this episode. (If you're having trouble with the geolocked YouTube video below, it can also be found on Instagram)
UPDATE: CBS have also released a couple of behind the scenes images of Frakes (and Marina Sirtis), via Instagram:
Meanwhile back with last week's episode, Alex Kurtzman was directing, as shown in this nice image from producer/director Olatunde Osunsanmi, showing Kurtzman discussing what he wants Osnullus to do with Avaah Blackwell:
Also via Osunsanmi is this show of himself with Kurtzman and Director of Photography Glenn Keenan, in Spock's quarters:
And a whole bunch of photos and videos from the set of the USS Hiawatha wreck, which was filmed at an old power station called The Hearn (you can check out more images of the location on an urban explorer site):
BTS take where Burnham runs for her life as the Hiawatha breaks apart. This sequence soooo intense to film. But wouldn’t know watching Alex. Cool as a cucumber. #brother #StarTrekDiscovery pic.twitter.com/f6hnigssO7— Olatunde Osunsanmi (@CenterWillHold) January 23, 2019
Better angle of Burnham running for her life in the middle of explosions. Nothing about this sequence was easy! #brother #StarTrekDiscovery pic.twitter.com/eLeDwlSKAt— Olatunde Osunsanmi (@CenterWillHold) January 23, 2019
Finally for today, from Anson Mount, in a sequel to his own first-sit-in-the-captain's-chair photo, we have his (late) dog Mac taking command:
