Star Trek Little Golden Book previews, and Kirk Fu update

In a couple of weeks time the first Star Trek Little Golden Books will be arriving, giving us a charming interpretation of the Star Trek universe for younger readers. Two are coming in January, which I have previews of below. So continue below to check those out, plus an update on the equally nicely illustrated Kirk Fu Manual.

But first, just recently it was announced there will be a third Star Trek Little Golden Book, Too Many Tribbles. This one is due out in July; here's the cover and blurb:

Captain Kirk and the crew of the starship Enterprise come face to face with adorably fuzzy Tribbles in this exciting and fun-filled Star Trek(TM) Little Golden Book!

Captain Kirk and the crew of the starship Enterprise are ready for almost anything--except tribbles! When these small, furry creatures invade the ship, Captain Kirk and the crew must act quickly, before they are buried in fur balls! Star Trek fans of all ages will love this action-packed Little Golden Book featuring Captain Kirk, Mr. Spock, and the rest of the crew from the classic TV series in a unique retro art style!
The tribbles book is to be authored by Frank Berrios with art by Ethen Beavers, who also worked on one of the first two books, I am Captain Kirk. Here are some previews of what they created, via Amazon and the publisher, Penguin Random House:

Due for simultaneous release is I am Mr Spock, which is also illustrated by Ethen Beavers, but with Elizabeth Schaefer writing this one:

Also due to get some cute illustration is Dayton Ward's forthcoming book, the Kirk Fu Manual. Alas we'll have to wait a while longer than expected to see most of them, as there seems to be a significant delay in publishing from Insight Editions, with listings now suggesting the book has been pushed back to March 2020, a full year later than the previously announced date!

We can at least get one little glimpse inside, thanks to the book's artist, Christian Cornia, who posted this preview on Instagram:
