The Escape Artist, 3rd January

Harry Mudd (Rainn Wilson), back to his old tricks of stealing and double-dealing, finds himself in a precarious position aboard a hostile ship—just in time to try out his latest con. Here's a preview image encompassing all four episodes (I imagine more stills will be released shortly):
We can probably assume the Harry Mudd episode will also feature Orions, thanks to this photo shared by actor/director Rainn Wilson recently:
Here are a few more screencaps from the trailer too:
Meanwhile, from the set of Discovery proper, director Jonathan Frakes shared this fun photo of him with Doug Jones (as Saru):
And while we're talking the rest of Trek-TV, new Picard series writer Michael Chabon recently shared this doddle-map from the production of that series:
Supreme Guardian of All #Trek Canon (and beloved colleague) #kirstenbeyer dropped some cosmographical science on the #untitledpicardproject writers’ room today. (Yes, I am having #somuchfun.) [Note to deep exegetes and wild speculators: this map represents only (and very roughly!) the status quo at the close of Voyager, the latest-set, as you know, of all the pre-existing tv series, and was executed purely as a visual aid for the edification of Professor Beyer’s colleagues.]

I'm curous: how will these be released in Canada (and the rest of the world as well)?
ReplyDeleteI don't think it's been announced yet, but the implication from an interview about CBS's Star Trek plans overall recently seemed to be that anything that is a direct spin-off from Discovery (like short Treks) would be under the same licensing arrangements as Discovery itself, while anything completely separate (like the Picard series, animated series, etc) might be up for grabs to other distributors/broadcasters. Sooo, I would assume these will go to Netflix and Bell Media outside the US (if they opt to have them maybe?).
