Eaglemoss updates: XL Enterprise-B, Kobayashi Maru, Discovery ships, and more!

Eaglemoss have announced and previewed several new ships in their Starships Collection ranges, including the latest regular, special, XL, and Discovery ships. Continue below to check them all out!

First up, via the Hero Collector blog, we have our first look at the eighth release in the XL series of extra big models, the USS Enterprise-B. The Excelsior class is one of my very favourite Star Trek designs, so I'm delighted to be able to get a bigger version of this beauty, especially as being a narrow design it was a little on the small side as a regular issue; the new XL version is apparently 28cm long!

Also revealed on Hero Collector is the fourteen special issue in the series (the bigger than regular smaller than XL series), the USS Kobayashi Maru, seen oh so fleetingly in the first Kelvin timeline movie. Given it's brief appearance on screen these images have to be the best look we've ever had of this ship!

Hero Collector have also officially announced the next two issues of the Discovery collection (which we got a distant first look at a few weeks ago). They will be the USS Europa for issue five, and the Vulcan cruiser for issue six. They've only released covers and renderings so far though, so we're going to have to wait for a better look at the actual models.

Meanwhile the US Eaglemoss shop has been updated with a new listing for a recently release regular issue, Alice, giving us some new images of the brilliantly blue issue 125:

And finally, series manager Ben Robinson has been teasing on Twitter, with an implication one of the more obscure Nebula class variants, the four-nacelled USS Melbourne, might be in the works:

The Kobyashi Maru and Klingon Battlecruiser were in the 2009 film, when Kirk and Spock were in the Academy.

Eh, I'll wait until I actually get the model before praising Eaglemoss for good QC, considering in general their QC has been pretty bad.

And the next big ship is the B? Really? Why not the Akira, or some other ship that doesn't already exist in a superior form for the same price?
