QMx have released a host of new Star Trek stuff at the recent New York Toy Fair, including several new insignia badge, lots of new action figures, and their latests figurines and starship models for Loot Crate. Continue below to check them all out.
They announced three new additions to their long running series of magnetic-backed insignia badges, all drawing from Discovery. First up we have the very mysterious black Starfleet delta badge, seen oh so briefly when we first encountered the USS Discovery and then never mentioned again. Hopefully this release is indicative of that particular detail not being entirely forgotten as we head towards season two; or maybe QMx just think there's enough interest in the mystery.
There's also the Discovery-era Cadet badge, as seen worn by Tilly through most of the series. This is set for April release.
And then there's a Klingon insignia, due in May, which they seem to be marketing as a Discovery release, but really should appease Klingon fans of all eras!
Surprisingly there was not a mirror-Discovery badge on offer, but surely with such prominent use that will be to come some time later. For a look at all the previous QMx insignia releases, see my Trek Collective List.
The above images were all captured by Awesome Toy Blog, who have a whole gallery showcasing the QMx displays well worth checking out for more views of the products described here, as do Toy Ark and Toy News International, who provided many of the images below as well.
Perhaps the most impressive thing on display was the new Wrath of Khan-era Khan Noonien Singh figure, from the 1/6 scale range Qmx have been producing for a couple of years now. In contrast to all the neat and tidy Starfleet uniforms of previous releases, this Khan figure is drowning in details of multiple fabrics, garments and gadgets. This isn't the first time we've seen this figure, but worthy of another look!
Other figures on display have previously been previewed as well, including the companion Wrath of Khan Kirk and Spock figures.
Also repeat-teased for future release are TOS TV-era Sulu and Scotty, and TNG's Data.
Finally QMx also had on display their two pieces for the forthcoming first Star Trek Mission Crate from Loot Crate. These are the Master Series Locutus figurine, and USS Enterprise-D. According to TrekCore these will be released separately after their initial Loot Crate delivery. TrekCore also report the next crate will include a Worf figure and USS Defiant model.
