Latest Star Trek Magazine previews

After a period of increasingly irregular publication, Titan Magazine's Star Trek Magazine has returned to monthly releases, now having plenty to talk about thanks to the launch of Star Trek: Discovery. Continue below to check out recent issues, starting with this month's new book.

Issue #193 in the UK, or #66 in the US has just been published, and prominently features Saru on the cover.

Here's the blurb for the book:
In this issue, we talk with Walter Koenig where he reflects on his early life, Russian heritage, and Chekov. In the interview with Doug Jones, even in a crew where self-doubt and traumatic life stories are commonplace, Star Trek: Discovery’s Saru stands out – and not merely by dint of his extreme height and striking appearance.

We look at ‘The Klingon Empire’ - Our chronicle of the Klingons reaches The Next Generation. In ‘Treknology’ we experience the real life examples of Discovery’s Klingon cloaking tech and how Janeway’s ship changed the Delta Quadrant in the ‘Voyager’s Wake’
Plus a few preview pages:

As you might imagine, the covers are gradually working through Discovery's major characters, so last month saw Michael Burnham in the spotlight, although there was a bit of a Klingon slant in terms of content.

In this issue, we speak with several Klingons, and find out more about how they were reimagined for Star Trek: Discovery. Kenneth Mitchell fills us in on Discovery’s snarling villain Kol, while we have a jolly time with Next Generation and Deep Space Nine stalwarts Robert O’Reilly (the fabulous Gowron) and J.G. Hertzler (grizzled warrior Martok).

We also delve into Kirk-era Klingon history, and take a closer look at “Errand of Mercy” – the Klingons’ very first appearance on screen. And there’s not a tribble in sight.

Issue 191/64's cover story focused on the new captains of Discovery, although had a huge variety of articles within.

In this new look issue, we continue our behind-the-scenes voyages into Star Trek: Discovery. We talk to Michelle Yeoh about her role as Captain Philippa Georgiou, commander of the U.S.S. Shenzhou, and discover what kind of man is sitting in the Discovery's big chair from Captain Gabriel Lorca himself, actor Jason Isaacs. And we also tour the sets of the NCC-1031 with showrunner Aaron Harberts.

Plus there's the usual mix of facts and features covering 50+ years of Trek to enjoy, so grab a raktajino and buckle up.
