Lots of Eaglemoss updates today, including updates on the Discovery collection, and new images of the Phase II USS Enterprise. But first, Eaglemoss have solicited the next couple of issues in the regular series, giving us our first look at a couple of new models, and indeed the reveal of next ship in the series.
Due out in March (in the UK, following later in other markets), issue 121 is Kasidy Yates' ship, the SS Xhosa.
And then issue 122 is revealed to be perhaps the most maligned of all the Starfleet kitbash ships, the somewhat awkward USS Yeager, complete with bright orange paint work!
Here are the cover drafts for both issues:
Meanwhile Eaglemoss' Hero Collector blog has posted updated images of the Phase II USS Enterprise bonus issue, with the nacelle caps now altered to be orange rather than the previously previewed yellow:
The Eaglemoss shop has also added a few detail photos of this model, and the Star Trek Starships Facebook page posted a 360 video.
If that's not enough Constitution class for you, series manager Ben Robinson recently tweeted that he has "seriously considered making all of [...] the other Constitution class ships". So we might yet find ourselves offered a small fleet of variants (the Hood, Potemkin, Farragut, etc)
When asked about the ISS Charon for the Discovery spin-off collection, he mentioned it would be an extra large special issue, along with two others: "That and the Sarcophagus ship and one other thing.". He'd already mentioned the Sarcophagus, but I'm rather curious what the other thing might be also worthy of being huge!
In other Discovery news, StarTrek.com recently previewed the first issue in the series, the USS Shenzhou, and that included a couple of new views of the model, which should be arriving any day now.
