Lots of new Discovery behind the scenes videos

CBS have released a gaggle of new videos looking behind the scenes of Discovery, including a focus on the costume design, and the characters of Sarek and Captain Georgiou. Continue below to check them out, and other updates from the series.

First however, here's a very short video confirming the after show show will be airing after the first episodes, and has now being renamed After Trek (rather than the previously announced Talking Trek).

Check out those fleets!

The next video looks at the costume design, including nods to how the new designs links Enterprise and TOS. (Also available on the Netflix Star Trek Twitter for those who are not in the US).

Is the the first good look at the Discovery's robot crewmember?

Then we have Sarek (also on other Youtubes if you can't watch the official one):

Check out those Kelvin-timeline style Vulcan learning... orbs.

And one more, looks are the glorious Captain Georgiou (Youtube backup also available for the region locked):

StarTrek.com meanwhile have continued their interview series, this time talking to Anthony Rapp, aka Lieutenant Paul Stamets. He gave a summary that encapsulates the attitude of his character:
I think that when you first encounter me I'm a little... Stamets is super-smart and is the expert in his field, and so he encounters other people and can be a little impatient, or flinty, or short with them. So, part of the journey is getting to know these people with whom I'm first sort of like, "Who are you? What good are you to me?" And then getting to know, “Oh, maybe you are some good to me.” Seeing the evolution of my character's relationship with all these other people.

And then you also get to see the softer side in my relationship with (Hugh).
Finally, StarTrek.com have also announced that Amazon Alexa devices, such as the Amazon Echo, now have a Star Trek feature built in. When you say "Alexa, open Star Trek", you can access Star Trek quizzes, behind the scenes Discovery content, and make the device respond to commands like "red alert".

Star Trek: Discovery is due to start in a few days, and it will be distributed almost everywhere in the world on Netflix, except for the US where is will be available on CBS All Access, and Canada where it will be on Bell Media channels and services.
