Discovery's Klingon Torchbearer on display at Comic Con

On display at the San Diego Comic Con right now is a pretty impressive costume replica. A special miniature version of Star Trek: Discovery's Klingon Torchbearer has been made by Gentle Giant, and it reveals the crazy level of detail going into this production.

The suit was designed by Neville Page and Glenn Hetrick and 3D printed by Gentle Giant. Continue below for a close look at all the details (images via TrekMovie and ToyArk):

Also on display are what seems to be two full size d'k tahg, displaying an equally impressive level of detailing, bringing a distinctive new look to the still very familiar looking Klingon weapon.

You can see more images of this display at TrekMovie and ToyArk.

TrekMovie also report Gentle Giant have also recently signed up to produce Discovery merchandise, including mini-busts and statues, with the intricate Klingon designs likely to get particular attention. Details of releases are still being worked out.

Star Trek: Discovery is due to start this September, and it will be distributed almost everywhere in the world on Netflix, except for the US where is will be available on CBS All Access, and Canada where it will be on Bell Media channels and services.
