Eaglemoss' Hero Collector website has posted another set of renders of one of their new CG recreations, ready to make a future model in Star Trek: The Official Starships Collection. This time we've got the Starfleet Academy training ship, seen in TNG's First Duty. Continue below to check it out, and other updates from the series:
This new model was built by Ed Giddings, who also used it to create the Kolvoord Starburst, as seen in the episode. You can check that out on Hero Collector.
Prior to posting these images, series manager Ben Robinson had a game of guess-the-ship on Twitter, and confirmed several forthcoming ships in the process. So we now know coming at some point will be the NX-Alpha, the Soyuz class (aka the USS Bozeman), the scout ship from Insurrection, and the timeship Aeon!
Ben also posted this image of the boxed soon to be released sixth special issue, the NX-01 refit.
For a listing of all the ships in the Starships Collection, including links to all my previous previews and reviews, see my index page.

Aside from the Ba'ku Mission Scoutship, I'm glad to get some indication the Bozeman is in the pipeline. It's a magazine I'd like to read as well, since they can probably flesh out more of the specifics of why a Miranda variant was used versus the TOS or TMP Constitution they had planned on.
These are all really excellent new additions...Long live the collection!
Why does the Starfleet Academy training ship have a Cobra symbol from G.I. Joe on its nose?
Because the modelers thought no one would do a retail model? :)
I sure hope there's no problems with copyright from Hasbro on this.
Hasbro asked for the symbol to be removed apparently.
It was a homage

"The otherwise indiscernible symbol in front of the cockpit was that of Cobra Commander from the G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero franchise, which Jein, a fan of the franchise, added as a subtle homage."
Ben confirmed the Romulan Shuttle, S.S. Aurora TOS-R rebuilt, Aeroshuttle, Orion Scout ship and the Gorn ship within the 110.

Looks like Eaglemoss is soliciting their USS Franklin NCC-1743 model already. It's a larger-sized special at the corresponding increased price. The model # is EM-STSP07.
I'm going to assume the registry is some placeholder since it's associated with the RPG Franklin, but who knows.
