Book bits: New TNG trilogy, new ebook title, covers, and new formats

I think it's safe to say John Jackson Miller is now firmly established in the Star Trek writers A-team. Following his Titan ebook debut, Absent Enemies, and the fantastic TNG (with Aventine and Titan elements) novel Takedown, he will return to the Trekverse next year with an entire trilogy! Starting in October, and running for three consecutive months, will be Prey, which Miller describes on his blog as "a star-spanning Next Generation epic of the Federation and the Klingon Empire!"

In other books news, on Twitter Paula Block has revealed the next ebook she and Terry Erdmann are working on has got a new title. Previously known as The Empty Sack, and then A Quark of Fate, their next Quark story will now be known as The Rules of Accusation. There's still not publication date set for this, but it was hoped it would be out this year some time.

Elsewhere in DS9, David R. George III's latest novel in the series, Sacraments of Fire has just come out recently, and the story will continue early next year in Ascendance. George recently appeared on TrekFM's Literary Treks to discuss the former, and gave this curious brief description of the latter:
I feel like it's very much a Star Trek story. But it's also a little bit weird.
Sounds like a good combo to me!

Dayton Ward gave a slightly longer, if almost as vague, outline for his next TNG novel, in his latest writing round-up blog post:
Set after the events of Armageddon’s Arrow, this new tale is intended to be another largely “standalone” story with an emphasis on exploring. I delivered an outline to my editor on July 27th, and made a few tweaks in response to her feedback. Now we’re just waiting to hear back from in-house editorial and CBS Licensing. The book is scheduled for some time in 2017, which happens to be the same year we’ll be observing the 30th anniversary of the TNG television series’ premiere. Don’t think that’s lost on me….
On another podast, Dayton Ward also discussed his latest TNG book, Armageddon's Arrow, on the G and T Show. He also mentioned in addition to the four Trek novels he has coming up, he has also written something else from the Trekverse:
I have one other Star Trek gig, that I still can't talk about, because the publisher hasn't announced that I'm working on. But it is a Star Trek book, it's not a novel, and I turned in the manuscript for that about a month-and-a-half ago, and I'm waiting to hear back from my editor on that. I'm hoping it's the first of several gigs.
And another atypical book format is due out next April. Coming from Price Stern Sloan, and written by Eric Luper, is Star Trek Mad Libs. Based on The Original Series, this is the latest licensed title to make it to the long running Mad Libs format, which is the self proclaimed "world's greatest word game". Here are the blurb and cover as seen on Amazon:
Beam me up, Scotty! Star Trek Mad Libs features 21 stories inspired by the classic Star Trek television series and films!

Finally, just out is the third book in the Seekers series, David Mack's Long Shot. To mark the release, cover artist Rob Caswell posted the cover sans titles on his DeviantART:
