Juan Ortiz retro prints book on the way

Don't have room to fill your home with posters? Prefer not to wear, or drink from your art? Don't even like to manage your time with a hint of retro design? Well fear not, because Juan Ortiz's TOS retro art series is no longer limited to posters, T-shirts, glasses, and diaries! Coming from Titan Books is Star Trek: The Art of Juan Ortiz, a hardcover book release of the entire TOS retro poster series. Due in September it will quite likely be the first time you can see several of the designs too. Here's the cover (which is itself a new image) and blurb:

What if every Star Trek: The Original Series episode was a movie event? What would the movie poster look like? This was the inspiration to develop a one-of-a-kind set of images for the series that launched a franchise. Artist Juan Ortiz has created unique retro-style art with the look of a 60s movie poster, comic book, pulp novel cover or advertisement, one each for all 80 episodes.

In other retro print news, this month's designs are now available as T-Shirts and glasses. As ever the T-shirts use slighly different versions of each design to make best use of the different format, unfortunately they seem to have decided not to do a tie-dye shirt from The World is Hollow and I have Touched the Sky:

  1. I was just toying with the idea of buying all the prints today, but for pricing and lack of wall space. A book is much handier!
