Starship collection magazine delayed

A little under a year ago came the exciting news of a new Star Trek part work magazine was to launch; dedicated to the starships of Star Trek, with each issue to come with a little model ship. The collection was launched in a small test region of the UK, and to UK subscriptions. Early collectors only got 3-5 issues before they stopped sending out magazines - The test had apparently been a success and the series was paused to ready for a full national launch. That relaunch was meant to be coming next month. Alas just as we almost got to start the collection news came today of a new delay, thanks to production issues. Here's what Eaglemoss had to say on the Star Trek starships Facebook page:
Last week the factory manufacturing our STAR TREK models was closed down by local government officials due to financial problems, immediately stopping production of our models. This means that we will not be able to launch STAR TREK Starships in February 2013 as planned.

We are working hard to find a new factory that is capable of producing the models to the required specification and standard so that we can launch later in 2013. At the moment we do not know how long this process will take but we will keep the Facebook page up to date.

We would like to assure that nobody has been charged for anything related to the 2013 launch and that no payments will be taken until the collection does launch.

In the coming weeks we will go ahead with the much promised re-launch of the website. We also hope to publish photography of the models beyond issue five and are hoping we can share some of the pre-production work for the new models as we go forward.

We know this will be of great disappointment to you, especially the people who pre-registered at Destination STAR TREK London, but we hope you are still looking forward to the collection. When the collection launches we will send everyone who pre-ordered a subscription a free, specially-commissioned A4 print of the first ship as an additional subscription gift and everyone who has pre-registered will be given the opportunity to win a free model of Deep Space Nine, which will be our first special.

Again, we are very sorry for the delay and can promise you that we are as frustrated by this as you are.
I was lucky enough to sign up to the first test run subscription, and got the first three issues, which I will be posting a review of before the series starts proper. We'll just have to see quite when that is though!
