Original fiction coming to the Star Trek Magazine

The latest issue of the Star Trek Magazine is on the way, which seems to be themed on leadership with articles on leaders in Starfleet, leaders of Empires, and leaders of Star Trek production. Tying into that theme is a notable new feature; in place of the novel excerpt of the last couple of years, we now have an "Original Fiction" section, giving us a (very) short story featuring the captain of the Enterprise-F from Star Trek Online. It's titled Unexpected Honor, and was written by Christine Thompson. Here's the Enterprise-F decorate first page:
