Following a website update by Alan Dean Foster (writer of amongst other things the Star Trek Logs - TAS novelizations), TrekMovie.com have confirmed he is to be the author of the novelization of the new movie. They have also confirmed the book will be a trade paperback (the big short).TrekMoive talked to the movie's writer, Roberto Orci who commented that he hoped the novelization will "explain things and answer some questions in a way that can’t be done in a script."
