The Star Trek Online website has been updated with the next year of their timeline leading up to the setting of the game. Like the previous year this timeline is a curious mix of elements from the novelverse continuity, jumbled up and reordered at bit with new original ideas.Highlights of Star Trek Online's 2381 include: A busy year in Romulan space the Star Empire fractures, with tensions rising between the Romulans and Remans and the formation of the Imperial Romulan State; Bajor leading a coalition of planets to push for Cardassian war criminals from the occupation and Dominion War to be brought to justice; Jean-Luc Picard being appointed to lead Federation efforts to prepare for an expected increase in Borg activity, and recruiting Seven of Nine to develop technology brought back by Voyager to that end; And the launch of the Stargazer-A, the first of a new class of exploration starships.
